Bill O’reilly is wrong about “Jesus” being killed over taxes

kjI could say many things about Bill O’reilly; but why! What I will say is that he is wrong about the Messiah being killed over taxes. We have to look carefully at the source that wrote the Killing Jesus book, Bill O’reilly and Martin Dugard. They both are Roman Catholics who on page 2 say “But this is not a religious book. We do not address Jesus as the Messiah, but a Man”! So the question remains; why was Yashua killed? The answer is simple and can be answered in 2 scripture versus. I’m so shocked that O’reilly’s hypocritical  book didn’t go the the Bible for the simple answer. (Mark 11:18)  The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him, for they feared him, because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching.

(Mark 12:17)12Then the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders looked for a way to arrest him because they knew he had spoken the parable against them. But they were afraid of the crowd; so they left him and went away.

13Later they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to Jesus to catch him in his words. 14They came to him and said, “Teacher, we know that you are a man of integrity. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay the imperial tax to Caesar or not? 15Should we pay or shouldn’t we?”

But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. “Why are you trying to trap me?” he asked. “Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.” 16They brought the coin, and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”

“Caesar’s,” they replied.

17Then Jesus said to them, “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.”

And they were amazed at him.

Before I continue, I’ve always had a problem with the Gospels, they seem to contradict one another. For 4 men to have witnessed the same things, they seem to differ on the events that took place. For that reason, we still have enough proof to decipher what is truth from error.

Yashua sparked jealousy between the two rival factions but were on common footing when it came to Yashua, they conspired together how they may kill him.

(John 11:47-52) 47Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin.

“What are we accomplishing?” they asked. “Here is this man performing many signs. 48If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation.”

49Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, spoke up, “You know nothing at all! 50You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish.”

51He did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation, 52and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one.

All criminals that were hanged on a tree or torture stake(upright pale) is given a plaque detailing the crime for why the are being crucified. Yashua’s crime was for sedition, claiming the mantle of King and Messiah.

During his brief ministry Yashua spoke harshly about the government of Rome. He performed healings, exorcisms all without pay. The false Prophets charged for their services. Yashua upset the power structure in every way, he was blameless. So much more could be said, but this in my opinion is satisfactory. If you have any questions, don’t be shy.
